| Aion Breaking Beta Test Records in Korea |
 most highly anticipated massively multiplayer online (MMO) games, Aion®: The Tower of Eternity™ from NCsoft®, is already showing signs of reaching hit status in only a matter of days since open beta testing kicked off earlier this week. | Aion: Concurrent Players Exceeded 100,000 On The Very Day |

Aion: The Tower of Eternity, a highly anticipated MMORPG developed by NCsoft launched Open Beta in the early morning of November 11th, 2008 local time in South Korea, and the concurrent players exceeded 100,000 on the very day.
At the time of server open, numerous players flooded into Aion at the same time.Most of the 16 servers became full immediately and NCsoft added 5 servers to accommodate more players. Though currently there are totally 21 servers running, due to overwhelming influx of players, some may players encounter server connection and character creation problems.
Concerning the business model for Aion, NCsoft stated again that Aion will be using subscription model and they expected to bring the game into commercial service before December. NCsoft said that the monthly fee will be lower than the other titles of the company and for the convenience of players, they will be offering multiple payment options.

| Aion Entering Open Beta in Korea |
The Aion team in Korea announced that Aion will be entering Open Beta in Korea on November 11th. This is very exciting news for us as well! Since the game has entered its next phase in Korea, we thought we’d take a moment to explain the status of Aion in the west.
We are currently in the process of localizing and culturalizing the game for the western market in order to reach the same level of quality that the game provides and are in heavy planning for our testing phases in North America and Europe. We are taking the utmost care in the localization process and we’re dedicated to releasing the very best product in NCsoft West territories. With the ball now rolling, expect to hear much more, and see much more out of Aion in the coming months.

| Visual improvements – Light and Shadows |
Take a look at the stunning new light and shadow effects in Aion.
When we showed Aion to the world at the Games Convention 2008 the feedback for Aion's graphics was fantastic. What you may not have been aware of is that we were still working on improving the lighting effects to add an extra layer of realism so objects like buildings, rocks etc blend more naturally into the environment. But don’t just take our word for it, take a look at the screenshots where we compare the old with the new and we’re sure you’ll agree that this is a great improvement on the already stunning world of Atreia. Let's begin our virtual tour on the upper side of Atreia, in Asmodae. After the epic cataclysm when the world was torn apart, most of the light here is reflected from the land of Elysea below. As there is no direct sunlight you could imagine that lighting effects won't make much of a difference here, but you’ll be surprised as quite the opposite is true.
